AgChoice Donates to Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation
August 09, 2017
The contribution ties to AgChoice's mission of supporting growth in rural communities.
As part of its annual customer appreciation event, AgChoice Farm Credit’s Butler branch donated $150 to the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture foundation.
The charitable foundation, sponsored by Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, promotes agriculture through public education, including programs designed for teachers and students. They also fund scholarships and support farm preservation efforts.
“We believe the future of Pennsylvania agriculture is a bright one,” said Jim Hoge, AgChoice branch sales manager. “PA Friends of Ag plays an important role in that future, and we are happy to support them as a community partner with this donation.”
AgChoice employees and directors hosted the customer appreciation event at Clayholm Farms LLC in Worthington. Over 250 customer-owners, community members and their families enjoyed a complimentary meal, dairy farm tour, door prizes and other activities. The Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture donation tied in to the event’s theme of celebrating growth in local agricultural communities.
AgChoice Farm Credit’s Butler branch office services more than $91.4 million in total loan volume for agricultural and rural customers in Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Indiana and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania.
